Principal Investigator: Lt Col Khondaker Sakil Ahmed, PhD, PEng, CEng

Title: Strength and Structural Properties of Concrete Containing Waste Glass and Recycled Brick Aggregate

Fund: 4,06,704/-

Objectives:

1. To investigate the behavior of waste glass and recycled brick aggregate in concrete cylinders through compressive, tensile strength, and flexural tests.

2. To investigate the performance of waste glass and recycled brick in the beam through flexural test.

3. To investigate the conductivity of waste glass and concrete and recycled brick by UPV test.

4. To investigate the microstructural properties of recycled glass concrete.

Expected Outcomes:

1. To understand the response of recycled glass concrete in terms different strength properties.

2. To observe the performance of recycled glass concrete in the structural beam and compare it to control concrete specimen.

3. To observe the conductivity and microstructure of recycled glass concrete and hence the applicability in reinforced concrete elements.
