Project 1: Host to WWLLN and Research Agreement (September 2021)

Recently I have installed a sensor host station of World Wide Lightning Location Network ( in Bangladesh. This is the only host station in Bangladesh contributing the lightning data to WWLLN. With the commissioning of this station, I have now access to lightning dataset of 70 host stations around the world. I have research agreement with Prof. Robert Holzworth, Director, WWLLN, University of Washington. I would like to study and characterise the sferics generated from lightnig discharge and investigate the effect of VLF propagation on Ionospheric D-layer over Bangladesh. I also wish to investigate the newer possibilities of underwater communication through VLF/ELF with shorter and compact antenna made of suitable metamaterials. Interested and potential researchers are welcome to contact me. 

Project 2: GNSS Reference Receiver for the Study of Ionospheric Scintillation (September 2021- September 2024)

Under a cooperation agreement on mutual ionospheric research between MIST and Istituto Nazionale de Geofisica and Vulcanologia (INGV), Italy; shortly I shall sign up a research agreement with Dr. Claudio Cessaroni to study the effect of Ionospheric Scintillation over Bangladeh. Interested and potential researchers are welcome to contact me.
