On 22 December 2025, the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) and Bangladesh Clinical Trials Limited (BCTL) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on clinical trials involving pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices. The agreement was formally signed by the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department of MIST and the Managing Director of BCTL.
