Student Accessibility Services

MIST is committed to inclusion and equity in the learning environment. We operate under the MIST Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Students requesting disability accommodations and supports are required to register with the services for students with disabilities department at the location where your classes are held, at either the north Oshawa or downtown Oshawa campus location. Services are provided in a manner that respects confidentiality.

Accommodation supports may include, but are not limited to:

  • adaptive technology training
  • alternative format course materials
  • deaf and hard of hearing services
  • disability advocacy
  • learning skills support
  • peer note-taking
  • testing support
  • transition support for new students
