Study Visit to Professor Hamiduzzaman Khan Sculpture Park by Department of Architecture, MIST
As part of the ARCH 2112: Graphic Art and Sculpture Course in Level 02, Term 01, a Study Visit was organized on September 8, 2025, to the Sculpture Park of Renowned Sculptor Professor Hamiduzzaman Khan at Rupganj Power Plant, Summit Power Limited, Gazipur, Dhaka. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Guest Faculty Member and Distinguished Sculptor Ivy Zaman.The primary objective of this academic excursion was to provide students with an opportunity to explore the relationship between different infrastructures, sculptures, and artistic expressions. The Sculpture Park features a diverse range of sculptural works in various forms and materials, thoughtfully displayed across the site.Through direct observation of large-scale forms, material applications, and spatial compositions, students gained valuable insights into the aesthetic and sculptural dimensions of outdoor environments.
