FNF is the foundation for liberal politics in the Federal Republic of Germany to promote the principle of freedom both in Germany and abroad. The competition is organized for one of its supporting countries, Bangladesh with the topic ‘What does it mean to have individual freedom as a Bangladeshi?’ Assistant Professor Sadia Subrina perceives freedom in gender equity which she elaborated in the essay titled ‘Loiter, move, or fly: the choice is yours.’ For her to have individual freedom as a Bangladeshi is freedom to commute freely without being the victim of harassment or freedom to travel on the way back to home from work at night without being accompanied by any male guardian or freedom to loiter in a public space or freedom for discrimination in the workplace.
