The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) has achieved a significant milestone by receiving a research grant from Ankur International, Portland, USA. This grant aims to advance innovative research focused on developing a “voice assist device” for special children. This project has garnered recognition through an MoU between MIST BME and Ankur International (USA) and received a 300,000-taka research grant. This device helps autistic children in their effective communication and education. The initiative, led by Lecturer Md. This collaboration not only highlights the global relevance of BME research at MIST but also sets the stage for meaningful advancements in inclusive healthcare technologies through international partnership.
